Starting towards the century of the foundation of the Inner Wheel one is always more aware of the need to order and promote the historical and current identity, offering it and making it available to members all over the world, who want to
deepen their knowledge of the Association, its roots, initiatives, connections with the Rotary International and the other Service Clubs, in order to reach a full understanding of its being, its habits and its quality; of the prospects; of the future.
A report expounded in my IW Club (Torino Europea, District 204, Italy) in February 2010 opens this volume. Situated at the beginning it ably introduces and summarises the identification signs of a female Association, the International Inner Wheel, alive and vital, unique and unrepeatable.
The publication contains other work of mine already published but updated, some useful historical indications to remind us of the origin, as well as a series of functional news announcements to better understand the structure and the dynamics.
The book is an easy-to-consult working tool, a basic text for training, with a framework of balanced knowledge which describes the Inner Wheel within its continuous evolutionary process and from the necessary historical contextualization.
Considerable attention has been given to Inner Wheel relations with the Rotary International, as requested by RGHF (Rotary Global History Fellowship) of which I am a member.
